In honor of Saturday Night Live’s 40th Anniversary, Yahoo! Screen posted numerous SNL Presidential Spoofs, including those of Gerald R. Ford by Chevy Chase. Ford was President when SNL aired its first episode on October 11, 1975 under the name “NBC’s Saturday Night”.
Chase opened the November 8, 1975 episode portraying President Ford for the first time. Since then, every U.S. President has been portrayed on SNL, which has also added sketches with Presidential candidates and Vice Presidential nominees.
