Helen Thomas

 

Helen Thomas was a journalist, columnist and author for almost 70 years.  Thomas covered Gerald R. Ford’s presidency, as well as nine other presidents.  Thomas began as a reporter at the United Press in 1943, which later became United Press International.  In 1960, she began covering the White House, first as a correspondent and later as White House Bureau Manager.
