BIOGRAPHY
David Hooker is the Chief Executive Officer & Manager of Greenville Partners, LLC (GVP) and Executive Manager & Interim Chief Executive Officer of Greenville Asset Management (GAM) , a private, single-family office that supports the Meijer family focusing on customized family, philanthropic, financial, and investment services designed to meet the family’s growing multi-generational needs.
Before transitioning to Greenville Partners, David served as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park . During his nearly 17 year tenure at Meijer Gardens he played a pivotal role in the development and expansion of Meijer Gardens, guiding it to its preeminent position as a cultural and horticultural destination. David carries a deep comittment to upholding the vision and legacy of Fred and Lena Meijer - Meijer Garden’s benfactor’s. David’s role as Chief Executive Officer exhibited exceptional leadership, community engagement, succession planning, philanthropic initiaves and overall dedication to the family. He has been instrumental in managing and growing the family’s vision, aligning investment strategies with long-term goals and ensuring preservation of family values across generations.
As Chief Executive Officer of Greenville Partners, David’s strategic vision is to develop and implement long-term strategies that are aligned with the families objectives and assist the family with its various interests and activities. In addition to providing strong leadership, David has an understanding of investments, finance and risk mangement, succession planning and has a discerning ability to inspire and motivate his team, making sound and long term decisions that align with the overall vision for the family and his team.
David started his professional career as a budget analyst for the United States Senate Budget Committee. After nearly three years he persued his MBA and joined Mazda Great Lakes, a privately held automotive distribution company. When the company was sold in 2000, David was serving as President. Along with two partners, David started DaVinic Capital specializing in finding Angel investors for new companies. Throughout his career David has held a range of senior management positions across various industries. His diverse background has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of business operations and the ability to navigate challenges with agility and insight.
