BIOGRAPHY
David A. Brandon is currently the Chairman of the Domino’s Pizza, Inc. Board of Directors, Board Member at DTE Energy, Herman Miller, PetSmart, and Bay Club and President of the David A. Brandon Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Governors of The American Red Cross.
Brandon has an extensive track record of leading some of the largest organizations in the country. He began his career as a Sales Representative/Unit Manager at Procter and Gamble (1974-1979). He then worked at Valassis Communications where he was President and CEO (1988-1998) and Chairman of the Board from (1997-1998). In 1999, he was named Chairman and CEO of Domino’s Pizza, leading the company to its initial public offering (IPO) in 2004 and implemented numerous changes, including introducing the first pizza tracker, before leaving in February 2010. Brandon also served as Chairman and CEO of Toys “R” Us from (2015-2018).
Dave Brandon was Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Michigan (UM) from (2010-2014), where he created a marketing department focused on investing resources for the university’s athletes. He is also a former Regent of the University of Michigan from (1998-2006).
David Brandon earned both a B.A. and teaching certificate from the University of Michigan and was on the Wolverine football team where he played for Bo Schembechler. He and his wife, Jan, have four children.
