From the flight deck of the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), members of the crew gave a Go Blue! shout-out to the Michigan Wolverine football team at the “2017 Military Appreciation Game”.
The shout-out video displayed on the scoreboards during the Wolverines’ home game at the ‘Big House’ on September 16, 2017 against the Air Force Academy Falcons.
The video features some of the first fixed-winged aircraft launching and recovering from the U.S. Navy’s newest aircraft carrier. The USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) was commissioned on July 22, 2018 by President Donald J. Trump at Naval Station Norfolk.
Joined by members of the ship’s crew, CVN 78’s Commanding Officer Capt. Richard McCormack, lead the cheer for GO BLUE!
