Ribbon Cutting for New Exhibit, "Ford at 50: Decisions That Defined a Presidency"
Our museum curators put together another impressive, original exhibit on President Ford, this time marking 50 years since his historic swearing in on August 9, 1974, and highlighting the unprecedented decisions he faced as president.
After the discussion, guests attended the ribbon cutting for "Ford at 50: Decisions that Defined a Presidency," and were the first people to explore the exhibit.
The original temporary exhibit used an array of materials from the Museum's collection, including presidential artifacts, archival documents, and historic film footage. Guests were introduced to some of the most difficult and controversial decisions that President Ford made in office.
