112th Birthday Wreath Laying Ceremony Honoring President Gerald Ford
Join us as Susan Ford Bales hosts the annual Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of President Gerald R. Ford, commemorating the 112th anniversary of his birth.
This cherished event blends two meaningful traditions: the Presidential Wreath Laying, a national custom in which the sitting U.S. President sends a tribute wreath to honor each deceased president, and a personal tradition begun by Mrs. Betty Ford in 2007, ensuring continued remembrance through a community-focused ceremony.
This year’s ceremony will include tribute wreaths from:
The President of the United States
The United States Secret Service
The Ford Family
Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital
With special presentations by Scouting America, remarks from the U.S. Secret Service, musical performances, and a moment of silence, this meaningful event honors both President and Mrs. Ford’s enduring legacy.
