2025 Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony Honoring President Ford

112th Birthday Wreath Laying Ceremony Honoring President Gerald Ford

Guests joined us as Susan Ford Bales hosted the annual Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of President Gerald R. Ford, commemorating the 112th anniversary of his birth.

This cherished event blended two meaningful traditions: the Presidential Wreath Laying, a national custom in which the sitting U.S. President sends a tribute wreath to honor each deceased president, and a personal tradition begun by Mrs. Betty Ford in 2007, ensuring continued remembrance through a community-focused ceremony.

Last year’s ceremony included tribute wreaths from:

  • The President of the United States

  • The United States Secret Service

  • The Ford Family

  • Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital

With special presentations by Scouting America, remarks from the U.S. Secret Service, musical performances, and a moment of silence, this meaningful event honored both President and Mrs. Ford’s enduring legacy.
