2016 Tree Lighting at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum and Foundation kicked-off the holiday season with the Annual Tree Lighting on November 17, 2016. Festive music was provided by the Salvation Army Band and the Caroling Company.

WOOD TV 8 New Anchors Susan Shaw and Brian Sterling presented awards to the following groups: Best Theme, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services; Kreative Kidz, West Michigan Camp Fire – Kent Hills; and Best of Show, Girl Scout Troop 4183. The People’s Choice Award was decided by pubic vote and announced at the Holiday Open House.

The Holiday Open House was on December 4, 2016 and featured reindeer, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, cookies, story telling, and carolers. The ‘Christmas on the Grand’ display of Christmas trees and holiday quilts was also in the Museum’s lobby and open to the public.
