Richard Addison Ford, Gerald R. Ford’s half-brother, passed away on March 20, 2015, at the age of 90. Uncle Dick, as he was fondly called, was born and raised in Grand Rapids with his brothers Gerald, Thomas and James.
Dick served as a Foundation Trustee since its inception and regularly attended the various events that promoted his brother’s legacy. He was a pallbearer during the State Funeral of his brother in January 2007 and more recently attended the Christening Ceremony of the USS Gerald R. Ford CVN 78 aircraft carrier.
